Definitions

“The Client” means any person or organisation dealing with The Galeria Studios or any agent, representative, servant, employee or subcontractor of such person or organisation. “The Equipment” means all fixtures and fittings and all equipment situated in, or provided by, Sunset Studios including, but not exclusive to, lighting, radio triggers, polyboards, stands, reflectors and Coloramas.  “The Hire Period” means any of the full / half day hire periods as well as overtime, agreed in advance with The Galeria Studios. “The Galeria Studios” means Unit LU 411 within the Lightbulb, 1 Filament Walk, Wandsworth. London. SW18 4GQ.

Hire Fees

The hire rates are as listed in the “Rates” section on the website as agreed with “The Galeria Studios prior to the “Hire Period”. Overtime can be charged at up to £30.00 per hour with a minimum 30 minutes overtime charge. The Studio reserves the right to refuse bookings for any reason at its sole discretion.

Payment Terms

The Studio’s standard payment terms are that the deadline for full payment is 7 days (168 hours) before the start time of your booking. All payments made are fully refundable up until this point. If full payment has not been received by this point, your booking will be cancelled and you will lose your deposit.

Any cancellations within this 7 day window are non-refundable. Any reschedules must be done 5 days (120 hours) prior the booking time.

Equipment

The Galeria Studios agrees to provide The Equipment in good working order but makes no special guarantees as to said Equipment’s functionality or suitability for The Client’s purposes. Any Equipment lost, damaged or stolen will be charged to The Client at its full replacement cost. The Client may not remove any Equipment from The Galeria Studios premises and all Equipment must be returned promptly at the end of The Hire Period and in the same condition that it was in at the start of the hire period. The Client is fully and solely responsible for any breakages or damage to supplied Equipment.

Studio Premises

 The Client shall be responsible for all or any costs or expenses incurred by us as a result of any damage by The Client to the fabric or contents (including furniture) of The Galeria Studios’ premises. No alterations decorations or additions to The Galeria Studios’ are permitted (unless agreed in advance with The Galeria Studios’).

Damage, Loss and Replacement Fee

The Client is responsible for any non-photographic items, furnishings, kitchenware, consumables, decorative items, or other property belonging to The Galeria Studios that is lost, damaged, broken, stained, or otherwise rendered unusable during the Hire Period by The Client or any member of The Client’s party.

This includes, but is not limited to, mugs, glasses, bottles, kitchenware, furniture, decorative items, and other studio property.

A minimum charge of £25.00 may be applied for each incident requiring replacement, repair, cleaning, replenishment, or other remedial action. This charge is intended to cover the cost of the item and/or the reasonable time and expenses required to replace, repair, clean, or otherwise rectify the loss or damage.

Where the actual cost of replacement, repair, cleaning, or associated expenses exceeds £25.00, The Galeria Studios reserves the right to charge the Client the additional reasonable cost incurred.

The Client may be charged for multiple damaged or lost items where applicable. Any applicable charges may be invoiced to the Client following the Hire Period and shall be payable upon receipt.

Terms of use

Use of The Galeria Studios and its equipment is at the CLIENT’S OWN RISK. The Client hereby waives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, and/or loss while on our premises. The Client agrees to leave The Galeria Studios, The Light Bulb building, in the same condition as when The Client arrived. The Client is solely responsible for any legal infractions they or members of their party commit during The Hire Period, be they in The Galeria Studios or within The Light Bulb building.

The Client agrees to be solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all persons accompanying The Client while in The Galeria Studios and/or The Light Bulb building. The Client understands that if The Galeria Studios is of the view that dangerous or negligent practices or activities are being engaged in during the Hire Period, The Galeria Studios reserves the right to stop the shoot and require The Client and The Client’s party to leave immediately. However, The Galeria Studios assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY to act in such cases. The Client agrees to hold The Galeria Studios, its agents, representatives, and anyone acting on behalf of The Galeria Studios completely harmless from any action, legal or otherwise, that results from The Client’s conduct.

Save in respect of anything that cannot be excluded by Statute, neither the Manager nor The Galeria Studios takes responsibility for any loss or damages suffered by The Client, caused by, or arising from its use of The Galeria Studios or any Equipment. All equipment and valuables brought onto The Galeria Studios’ premises by The Client shall be at The Client’s own risk. It is in The Client’s best interests to make sure that they have sufficient insurance to cover themselves and their equipment.

The Client agrees to hold harmless The Galeria Studios, its owner, agents, representatives, and contractors acting on its behalf for any loss, accident, or injury to The Client’s self or anyone who accompanies The Client whilst on our premises.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By making a booking with The Galeria Studios, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Client and all persons attending The Galeria Studios as part of the Client’s booking. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all members of their party comply with these Terms and Conditions.

Completion of a booking and/or payment of any booking fee or deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

These terms and conditions shall be read and construed in accordance with English Law
